Beach Music Collection

There’s no question that I love 1960s pop culture. I’m currently watching Palm Royale, wearing my House of MBR caftans and listening to music we North Carolinians call “Beach Music.”

I learned to dance the Carolina Shag when I took cotillion in middle school and perfected it even further when I dragged my sorority sister to lessons in college. It all paid off when my son and I won the “Best Carolina Shag” award at his recent cotillion ball.

Shag dancing is also in my genes. My mom used to drive down to Myrtle Beach, SC, in the early 1960s and dance the night away at the open-air pavilions on the strand - just like the 1989 film “Shag” with Bridget Fonda and Phoebe Cates.

The music is happy, light and fun, which was my goal to capture in this collection of original paintings.

Shipping prices for original paintings run between $130-$190.
Please allow 3 weeks for shipping. During this time, your painting is varnished and time is needed for drying before it is packaged. If you will be out of town or unable to receive your painting at a certain time, please let me know.
I take great care in packaging and insuring your pieces for shipment. Please save the original packaging and contact me within 3 days if your painting was damaged during the shipping process.

My frames are made out of high-grade Douglas Fir with a light gold finish. Slight imperfections are expected, as they are handmade, but please let me know if the frame is damaged during shipment.
